Abstract: Etah district is a part of the Agra Division of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated between 27.18’ to 28.2 lat. North and 78.11’ to 79.17 Longitudes east. The northern boundary of the district is made by the river Ganga. To north east it is bound by the Farrukhabad district and towards the west, by the Aligarh and Mahamaya Nagar (Hathras). South wards it is surrounded by the districts of Agra, Firozabad and Mainpuri. Total area of the district is 4446 Sq.kms.
