| Abstract: | The Indian Institute of Information Technology was established in the year 1999 by the Government of India, Ministry of HRD. After one year of its establishment, the Institute was accorded the Deemed-to-be-University Status on the recommendations of the Committee constituted by UGC vide Govt. Notification No. F.9-4/99-U-3 dated August 04, 2000. The Status was granted for a period of Five years, after which it was to be reviewed for further extension. The UGC constituted its Review Committee vide their letter DO No. F.6- 10/99(CPP-I) dated 5 July, 2006 to review the progress made by the Institute during the last five years on the Proforma prescribed therefor. |
