Abstract:	The University Grants Commission received a proposal from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, (Maharashtra) for grant of ‘Deemed to be University’ status. The proposal was placed before die Screening Committee constituted by the Commission to screen such proposal. The Screening Committee recommended a visit of the Expert Committee to assess the physical, financial and academic viability of the proposal on the spot.
