Report of the UGC Expert Committee to Assess the Proposal of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Society), Wardha (Maharashtra) for Grant of 'Deemed to be University Status' Under Section 3 of The UGC Act, 1956

Abstract

The University Grants Commission received a proposal through MHRD from Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Society), Wardha (Maharashtra) for grant of ‘Deemed to be University* status to its Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Sharad Pawar Dental College. The proposal was placed before the Screening Committee constituted by the Commission to screen such proposal. The Screening Committee recommended a visit of the Expert Committee to assess the physical, financial and academic viability o f the proposal on the spot.
