Report of The UGC Expert Committee to Assess The Proposal of Shri B.M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Bijapur, Karnataka For Conferment of Deemed to be University Status Under Section 3 of The UGC Act, 1956

Abstract

The B.M.Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Center is one of the Premiere institutes of Karnataka established in the year 1986 by The Bijapur Liberal Development Education Association, an association established in 1910. The parent association, which runs this college, approximately a century old, and it was established with a primary objective to provide education in this part' of country which was declared as backward district by the British government. Even now the district is notified as back ward district by UGC.
