Report of the Expert Committee constituted by UGC to Examine the proposal of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar for Grant of Deemed to be University Status Under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956

Abstract

Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India forwarded the proposal of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) for grant of Deemed to be University status under Section 3 of the UGC ACT, 1956 to University Grants Commission. NERIST made a presentation before the UGC Screening Committee on 16th November 2004. The Screening Committee short-listed NERIST for visit by an Expert Committee for assessing the physical and academic infrastructure.
