The Grant-in-Aid Code (for Educational Institutions other than Elementary Schools) of the Madras Educational Department with Appendices (corrected up to 1st April 1963)

Abstract

A sum of money is annually set apart to be expended under these rules as grants in-aid of recognized educational institutions under private management with the object of extending and improving secular education, and such grants is given impartially and without reference to any religious instructions to all schools which impart sound secular instruction, subject to the conditions hereinafter specified and with duo consideration of the requirements of each locality, and of each institution and of the funds available. These rules do not apply to European schools or to elementary schools for Indians which are aided under separate rules.
