| Abstract: | The Fifth Economic Census was conducted by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics during 2005 with assistance from Central Statistical Organisation. The object of the Census was to assess the impact of program & schemes of the Central and State Governments on employment. The census was an official count of economic activities of Non-Agriculture & Agriculture enterprises (excluding crop production & plantation) which also collected data on some of their characteristics such as location, type of activity, employment by sex and children etc. |
