| Abstract: | This is the first quinquennial report of the newly constituted province of Assam, and the period of the review is coincident with the first five years of the new administration. The last quinquennial report for Assam as a separate province was written in 1902, and for the two quinquennial periods intervening Assam was treated along with Eastern Bengal forming as it did a part of the province of Eastern Bengal and Assam from October 1905. |
