Statistical Abstract of Maharashtra State 1984-85 & 1985-86

Abstract

The Statistical Abstract for the year 1984-85 and 1985-86 (both in Marathi and in English) is the twenty-first in the series. It gives data on socio economic characteristics of the State mostly for the years 1984-85 and 1985-86. This issue includes the 'tables on (a) religionwise population, (b) literacy rates for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, (c) distribution of population according to industry and occupation, (d) estimates of population till 1991 and (e) number of employees according to 1985 census of Government employees. Of these, the tables at (a), (b) and (c) are based on 1981 population census and are included for the first time. The Document is in Hindi and English.
