| Abstract: | The national economy continued to show signs of good performance during the year. Though at the beginning of the financial year inflation threatened to assume serious proportions it has been stabilized and is showing a declining trend reaching 5.42 per cent as on 15th January 2005. The Sensex, which slipped in the post-election reaction, is now very vibrant reaching 6419.09 (as on 28.1.2005) and showing signs of continuing at higher level. |
