dc.description.abstract | After a bad patch the national economy is showing signs of revival. In spite of fears of a slow down the GDP growth for the year 2001-02 shows a rate of 5.6%, slightly more than the projection made a year ago of 5.4%. For the first half of 2002-03 it is seen that the GDP grew by 6% in the 1st quarter and 5.8% in the 2nd quarter significantly higher than the respective figures of 3.5% and 5.3% for the corresponding periods of the previous year. | en_US |
