dc.description.abstractAccording to the latest Economic Survey of the Government of India, while the economic reforms set in motion two and a half year ago have resulted in many accomplishments which have improved the nation's economic profile, there is much that remains to be done. The economy's record during the year 1993-94 has been a mixed one. While successes in some key variables have gone beyond expectations, there are areas where the performance has not been so very encouraging.
