Statistical Abstract of Maharashtra State 1986-87

Abstract

From Preface: The Statistical Abstract for the year 1986-87 (both in Marathi and in English) is the twenty-second in the series. It gives data on socioeconomic characteristics of the State mostly for the year 1986-87. From the issue of 1982-83 and 1983-84 (combined) the form of this publication is some what modified by taking into account the recommendations of the Central Statistical Organisation, New Delhi for preparation of State Statistical Abstracts. For facilitating reference to the tables in the previous issue of similar publication i.e. 1984-85 and 1985-86 (combined), the serial numbers of the tables as given in the previous issue is also given in the bracket after the serial numbers of the tables in the present publication.
