Abstract: From Introduction: Teacher absenteeism can be broadly defined as the absence of teachers from effective or involved teaching learning process. This absence could range from physical absence of teachers from the school to non-participation or even half-hearted or haphazard participation in the teaching-learning activities. According to the above definition and level of participation, teacher absenteeism can be categorised into the following types.
