Seventh All India School Education Survey Provisional Statistics Maharashtra

Abstract

From Foreword: Government of India decided to conduct Seventh All India Educational Survey in 2002. All India Educational Survey provides detailed educational statistics which are an important source of information for educational planning. The present survey is seventh in the series, which is a joint endeavor of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the State Departments of Education. It aims to build up database on school education at District/State headquarters to facilitate annual updating of essential information. Corresponding to the decision of Government of India, Govt, of Maharashtra constituted team at the State level and District level vide order dated October, 2002 to conduct Seventh State level survey.
