From 2005 – 06, text books for V standard are being introduced according to the trimester system. This will lessen the physical load on the child as it will carry only two books in every trimester - one for languages and one for the core subjects. This will be extended to higher classes in a phased manner. Based on the feed back from educationists, teachers, students, parents and the general public certain changes are being introduced in the system from 2005 – 06. This document documents the philosophy, the process and the implementation of the Trimester System in all its entirety.en_US
