Abstract

From Preface: For comprehensive development planning and monitoring of various developmental programmes, the importance of up-to-date data on various socio-economic indicators need not be over-emphasised. Though different organisations are producing various types of indicators/statistics on different areas of social concerns, Central Statistical Organisation (CSO) brought out a booklet, first time in 1987 to make available different information atone place. Keeping in view good response of users, this publication was made a regular publication. Till now seven issues of the publication have been brought out.
