University Development in India: Basic Facts and Figures Part II Examination Results 1977 (1977 Annual and Supplementary)

Abstract

From Preface: The University Grants Commission collects and compiles information regarding Examination Results including Doctorates awarded from all Indian Universities and Institutions deemed to be Universities annually but no separate publication containing examination results had been brought out till 1979. However, with the phased process of transfer of collection and compilation of Statistics pertaining to higher education sector from the Ministry of Education and Culture to the University Grants Commission, the Information, and Statistics Division of the Commission started bringing out a separate publication in 1980 containing examination results from 1973 onwards. The present one pertains to the year 1977.
