dc.description.abstractFrom An Overview: The historic event of the years 1992-94 for education was the hosting of an EDUCATION FOR ALL (EFA) Summit of Nine High Population Countries in New Delhi on 16th December 1993. These countries are Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria and Pakistan. These countries account for more than half the world's population and 70% of the world's illiterates. The Heads of three UN agencies viz. UNESCO, UNICEF, and UNFPA also participated in the Summit. The Nine High Population Countries adopted the Delhi Declaration and Framework of Action.en_US
