dc.description.abstractFrom Preface: Prior to presentation of annual budget every year, the Planning Commission holds sectoral discussions with the representatives of the States/UTs and the Central Ministries. On the basis of these discussions, the Education Division compiles and analyses data in respect of physical targets/ achievements and financial performance in the Education Sector. Such an exercise leads to generation of a wide range of data which could be made use for monitoring progress of various schemes under Education Sector including MNP (Elementary and Adult Education). Every year the data thus collected is analysed and circulated for internal use.en_US
