Abstract

From Preface: The present issue of “Some Basic Statistics of Tripura-1989” is the Twelfth in the series. The main purpose of this brochure is to highlight the major aspects of socio-economic development of the State during 1986-87 to 1989-90. To have complete picture of the changing economic situation of the State, it is presented in comparison with the situation prevailing in the preceding years. In this issue, one new Table on the performance of "Jawhar Rozgar Yojana” has been included and attempt has been made to update the information of all statistical tables on the basis of the latest available data relevent to the issue.
