National Policy on Education - 1986 Implementation Report Volume II

Abstract

From Introduction: The Parliament during the Budget Session in 1986 adopted the "National Policy on Education - 1986". The Programme of Action for implementation of the Policy was sent by the Government of India in November 1986 to the State Government. The preparatory work for implementation of the Policy in Madhya Pradesh started during the latter part of the year 1986-87. A Report on the same was sent to the Government of India in May, 1987. For all practical purposes, the year 1987-88 is the first year of implementation of the National Policy on Education. This document presents a summary, based on the progress reports furnished by the concerned departments of the State Government, of what has been done during 1987-88 for implementation of the Policy in this State.
