A Picture of Karnataka Budget 1986-87

Abstract

From Preface: The brochure A Picture of Karnataka Budget, is compiled every year to present the details in the State Budget in an easily understandable form by means of statistical tables. In Part I of the brochure are indicated the salient features of the State Budget for 1986-87 along with the revised estimates for 1985-86 and actuals for previous year. Part II of the brochure aims at presenting the sectoral distribution of the plan expenditure incurred in respect of Annual Plan for the past few years and those anticipated plan expenditure for 1985-86 and the plan that emerges out of the Budget for 1986-87 as now presented. The development outlays for purpose of this brochure cover the State Plan, Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Central Plain Schemes as also the expenditure on Irrigation Projects under Cauvery basin awaiting clearance from Government of India. Part II also indicates the population of Indian State (estimated under mid year population).
