Abstract

From Foreword: The release of the Report “Results of High School and Higher Secondary Examinations” for the year 2010 will bring about a better understanding of the present scenario in the School Education System in respect of number of students passing out from schools In the country. An extensive database of statistics plays a critical role In providing decision makers as well as the stakeholders in this sector with an opportunity to make informed decisions and plan for the future. I am confident that the present Report would be able to strengthen the future planning process for education. I extend my gratitude to all respondents especially Boards of Secondary and Senior Secondary Education, which have played key roles in providing the data. I would also like to appreciate the work put in by the Bureau of Planning.
