| Abstract: | From Preface: This is the second supplementary volume to the Report of the Education Commission. It deals with educational statistics and is divided into five parts. Part I gives statistics of educational development in India during the first three Five Year Plans (1951-52 to 1965-66). The bulk of the data has been taken from “Form A : Statistics of Educational Institutions in Sates” for the years 1950-51,1955-56 and 1960-61. The data for 1965-66 were estimated in the Secretariat of the Education Commission. Further details about the statistics included in this Part will be found in the introduction to it. |
