dc.description.abstractThe development of Higher Education continued at the same pace during the year 1982-83 as in the previous years. There are two universities in the State (1) Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. (2) Maharishi Daya Nand University, Rohtak. The number of colleges of general education affiliated to these Universities is 106, in which there is proper arrangement for Higher Education. The number of colleges of general education in 1981-82 was 104. Number of students studying in these colleges was 97777 during the year 1982-83 cut of which 69764 were boys and 28013 were girls. The number of scheduled caste students was 6155 out of which 5703 were boys and 452 were girls.en_US
