Abstract

From Foreword: The Statistical Abstract of Punjab, which contains the latest available data on almost all important socio-economic aspects of the State’s economy, is an annual publication of Economic & Statistical' Organisation, Punjab. It is presented every year to the Hon’ble Members of Punjab Vidhan Sabha alongwith other budget documents. It is the only document which presents the comparable series of statistical data in a consolidated form which high lights nature, extent and trend of various socio-economic aspects of the State. Selected graphs and chants tare used to make the information easily understandable. The document is in English and Punjabi.
