dc.description.abstractFrom Introduction: Mamit District is one of the eight districts of Mizoram. It is created only in 1998 vide Govt. notification No 60011/21/95-GAD of 11th March 1998. It is situated in the vvestern most part of the stale bordering Tripura and Bangladesh. The district can be broadly divided into river valleys and uphills. Two big rivers, Tlawng river and Langkaih river flow on the eastern and western border respectively and Teirei river flows in the middle of the district. The temperature is generally high and rainfall is heavy and due to this, the district endowed with thick natural forest and rich in natural vegetation.en_US
