National Policy on Education 1986 & Programme of Action

Abstract

From Background Information: The National Policy on Education,1986 adopted by the parliament during the Budget session in 1986 and the Programme of Action for its implementation was discussed at various levels. Government of Mizoram has taken various steps to implement the directions of the policy involving the community, the teachers and various categories of officers working in the Education Department. All the agencies involved have shown a keen interest in the new policy and its programme at Action and accordingly made concerted efforts for its effective implementation in the state. As a result, the progress and achievements have been quite commendable. Achievements made and actions taken may be Been in the following pages.
