Abstract

From Introduction: The "Statistical Pocket Book" Is a regular annual publication of the Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation. It is twenty-third in the series and third after Goa attained Statehood. The data for two years viz 1989-90 and 1990-91(as far as possible)" has been Included to bring this publication up-to-date. The publication is an Important step In the direction of dessemination of useful socio-economic Information about Goa State. It attempts to fulfill the ever increasing need for reliable facts and figures about the changes which are taking place in the State. Data have been given districtwise for North Goa and South Goa districts, wherever possible.
