dc.description.abstract	From Preface: Statistics for planning published at periodic intervals is the most important and comprehensive publication of the Department of Economics Statistics, Government of Kerala, The present issue of 1988 is the sixth in the series. Attempts have been made to present latest data on all important aspects of Kerala economy. In view of the importance given to district level planning, district-wise data on important sectors are also given in this publication. It is hoped that this publication would be of considerable use to planners on the eve of the formulation of Eighth Five Year Plan of the State and also to those interested in studying the various aspects of Kerala economy. Suggestions for improvement are most welcome.	en_US
