dc.description.abstractThe number of Secondary Schools and Higher Secondary Schools has been considerably increased with the opening of several new schools after the introduction of the uniform Grant-in-aid Code of Secondary Schools in 1962. The Triple Benefit Scheme of Insurance, Provident Fund and Pension for Aided Secondary Schools has been introduced from 1st April 1963. Further, Government have introduced Free Secondary Education upto and inclusive of X Standard with effect from the academic year 1966-67 in G.O. No. ED 297 CSS 64, dated the 27th January 1966.en_US
