Abstract

From Foreword: Unemployment among the educated especially in Technical and Professional categories is on the increase. Formulation of effective employment policies and manpower planning is largely dependent upon availability of reliable information on the various aspects of the problem such as the extent of unemployment, utilisation pattern of the job seekers on the Live Registers, employment opportunities etc. To remedy the situation, studies are necessary to assess the unemployment situation of educated manpower under various disciplines.
