dc.description.abstractFrom Preface: This volume on District Educational Statistics for the State of Karnataka is l7th in the series of such volumes which will be brought out for all the States and Union Territories. The main aim is to highlight the inter-district variations in a State by giving educational data at district levels with the help of some important indices such as Enrolment Ratio, Percentage of Trained Teachers Per Capita Expenditure, Teacher Pupil Ratio etc. In order to ascertain who tier the educational imbalances have widened or narrowed down with time, the data for the year 1976-77 has been analysed in comparison with that for the year 1970-71. However clear data was not available district-wise estimated data has been used.en_US
