Abstract: From Preface: This publication contains detailed statistics regarding progress of Adult Education in Haryana State during the year 1980-81. It also provides some basic information regarding position of Literacy in the State. Last year a similar compilation indicating the statistics on Adult Education as on 30-9-1979 was brought out. In the new attempt some additional statements regarding position of Literacy, grants received from the Govt. of India and the evaluation of learners have been added. Besides a precise history regarding progress of Adult Education in Haryana since the state came into being has been included. I hope, the booklet should be of great use for planning the future expansion of the programme of Adult Education and also serve as a permanent record.
