| Abstract: | From Review of Annual Plan 1995-96: The Eighth Five Year Plan of Karnataka (1992-97) was formulated under the buoyant conditions witnessed from 1989-90 to 1991-92, when there was a significant improvement in the resources position of the State enabling a substantial step up in plan investment. The approved outlay of the Eighth Five Year Plan is Rs. 12300 crores at 1991-92 prices. The eighth plan envisaged more than doubling of the State plan investment in real terms compared to the Seventh Plan. |
