Abstract: From Economic Situation: The overall performance of the State's economy during the current year appears to the much better. It is anticipated that the growth of output during 1995-96 in the State may be about 5.3 per cent as against 4.8 percent in 1994-95. The performance of industrial and infrastructural sectors appears to be normal this year despite persisting power shortages which have, been accentuated in the current year due to a steep fall in hydel power generation caused by deficiency of monsoons. With regard to the foodgrains production, although a marginal improvement is anticipated during this year compared to that of 1994-95. The overall production in agriculture may still to be marginally less compared to, 1993-94 level.
