Abstract: | From Introduction: The Union Education Minister had suggested that I May prepare a preliminary report on the Intensive Educational District Development Project (I.E.D.D.P.) of Bellary, on the basis of materials available and after having discussions with the State Government and District authorities. I have studied all the relevant documents relating to Bellary District and had detailed discussions with the State and District authorities. The Preliminary Report gives an idea about the steps which need to be taken to initiate the Project and the types of programmes which could be taken up. Part I of the Report deals with the objectives and content of the Project and its organisation, evaluation and financing. Part IT of the Report contains Appendices, Maps and Tables. Shri R. B. Gupta of the Statistics and Information Division of the Ministry of Education and Youth Services helped me in preparing Part II of the Report. |
