Manipur Annual Plan 1978-79 (Draft) General Education and Culture

Abstract

The original approved outlay for General Education and Culture for the 5th Plan was Rs. 620‘00 lakhs. The allocation was reduced to Rs. 491'00 lakhs after the Mid-term Appraisal in 1976-77. During the first three years 1974-75 to 1976-77 a sum of Rs. 234'12 lakhs was spent. The anticipated expenditure for 1977-78 is Rs. 105'00 lakhs. A sum of Rs. 339'12 lakhs will therefore be spent up to the end of 1977-78. A balance of Rs.151'88 lakhs would have been available for the last year of the 5th Plan if it continued upto the end of 1978-79.
