Abstract: From Foreword: The Ministry has been making an effort to initiate studies in regard to the problems of educational planning and administration in the field. One such study was completed with the collaboration of the State Government of Himachal Pradesh. The present study is the second in the series. It is an intensive study of schooling facilities in three blocks of Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir undertaken with a view to analysing the provision of educational facilities in the selected blocks and their utilization. The survey was conducted by the State Government through the local teachers for whom an orientation programme was organised. The survey work was supervised by a team of Central and State officers.
