Education in India 1976-77 Volume III

Abstract

From Preface: This volume is the first in series of the revised system of collection of educational statistics which was introduced with effect from the year 1976-77. It includes consolidated all India statistics in Part-I and State-wise statistics in Part-11. Prior to ir.troduction of revised system of collection of educational statistics the out-turn of students was being published in one single volume of “ Education in India” . This has been done away with, in view of our experience that the State Governments face enormous problems in the collection of examination results from the examining bodies located in the States. This presentation “ Education in India Vol-Ill” is based on the data collected in formats which were approved by the experts on educational statistics.
