Abstract

From Foreword: The Directorate of Economics and Statistics is vested with the responsibility of setting up standards for collection, compilation and dissemination of statistical data of the State. The official Data are required to be collected and presented according to classification designed to facilitate their use by policy makers, planners, scholars and also for national level comparisons. Comparatively of statistics available from various sources of different aspects of economy and usability of such data for economic analysis are prerequisites for such standardised system of classification.
