The country indeed look forward to this state of brave sons of the soil-Haryana State came into existence on Nov. 1, 1966. According to the census 1971, its population was 10037000. Now as per census 1991, it has gone up to 164636648. It has increased approximately 64% in this period. Its area is 44212 sq. kilometers.en_US
