Abstract: | From State Economy: The basic strategy of the state's economic policy is to accelerate the pace of development and create opportunities for all sections of the people. The main thrust of this policy is to develop agriculture, increase farm production through liberal incentives to the farmers, to strengthen infrastructure by increasing irrigation and power potential and net work of link roads and to improve the living standard of the people in general and weaker sections of the society in particular by effecting improvements in education, health, drinking water supply and other social services. Consequent of this policy, Haryana has become one of the top ranking states in the field of agriculture, industry, trade, transport and. tourism. Now the state has also emerged as a trend-setter in the sphere of providing social security to weaker sections of the society through its many faceted new programmes like old age pension, unemployment allowance and waiving off of loans. |
