Educational Statistics of Haryana 1978-79

Abstract

From Teachers: The number of teachers at Pre-Primary, Primary, Middle, High & Hr. Secondary Stages increased from 79, 28,741, 13,237 and 9,382, in 1977-78 to 119, 30,168, 13,633 & 9,937 respectively. The number of teachers in all types of Pre-Primary, Primary, Middle, High/Hr. Secondary Schools for General Education also increased from 51,439 (Men 35,972, Women 15,467) in 1977-78 to 53,857 (Men 37,232, Women 16,625) in 1978-79 showing an increase at of 4.7% during the period. The percentage of Trained Teachers at Primary, Middle, High/Higher Secondary stage was 98.87, 98.79 and 98.00 % respectively in 1978-79.
