Quest for Quality in Elementary Education. The Challenges and Way Forward. Himachal Pradesh

Abstract

To take immediate remedial measures to improve learning levels of children in government oschools (both primary and upper primary), immediate, short-term and long-term strategies have been discussed so that the gains of Himachal in elementary education in last five decades which have resulted in universal access, universal retention, gender parity and high transition rate from primary to upper primary and higher classes are not lost.
