| Abstract: | From Foreword: The Third All-India Educational Survey was started at the beginning of 1974 with specific objectives to provide data on school education about availability of schooling facilities (particularly in the rural areas), enrolment, teachers, equipment, etc. The Second All- India Educational Survey was conducted in 1965, but compared to that the scope of the present survey was much larger in respect of items on which information was collected and the types and levels of education covered. |
