Abstract

In the present day world, education is a national concern as it has become a vital instrument for social, cultural and political transformation of society. Education planning has , therefore, assumed great importance so as to ensure optimum use of our limited resources of man, money and materials to archive national priorities in the field of education. This helps to relate education to life, needs and aspirations of the people. Proper educational planning and its effective implementation pre-supposes a Statistical Base. In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that modern culture has tended to become a tatistical culture.
