Abstract

The Municipal Year Book was prepared for the first time in 1970 by Economic & Statistical Organisation Punjab. The present document contains very important and detailed information pertaining to 5 Municipal Corporations and 136 Municipal Councils of the state for the year 2010-11.The basic information relating to area and population, vital and health statistics, education and cultural statistics, public utilities, housing and construction, transport and communications, employment in municipal councils, banking facilities, veterinary hospitals, sports facilities, rest houses, number of diesel/petrol filling stations and gas agencies etc. has been incorporated in it.
